KAREN LEE ANDREWS
2022 has been another big year for Karen Lee Andrews performing at WOMAD, Blues on Broadbeach, touring with Jimmy Barnes on the Soul Deep tour and on the verge of releasing her new EP “Edin”. This commanding Polynesian woman of soul has one of the most powerful and brilliant voices on the Australian music scene and it is clear to see why she is a festival favourite.
Karen’s sound is an exceptional blend of deep soul, oceanic blues, and rhythmic rock. She is joined on stage by a mind-blowing band - teaming up with Yanya Boston (Thandi/Joy) on drums, Adam Ventoura (Midnight Oil) on bass and Shannon Stitt on keys. Each musician is outstanding in their own right, but the dynamic of the group is exhilarating to witness!
